Property Description

This light and spacious ranch-style home, located in a large tree-lined corner plot, offers an enjoyable and relaxing Florida vacation. It's the kind of place which says 'Welcome to Florida' when you arrive and 'Welcome home' when you return from a day on the beach or out shopping.

The front door opens into a comfortable family room with a TV, DVD/CD players; CDs, DVDs, board games and books are available, together with internet access. The double sliding patio doors open out on to the pool deck.

You don't have to do anything - but you could dip into the 30' x 15' heated pool, read one of our collection of books by the pool or, best of all, float on the airbed in the pool while someone else makes the tea or fetches you a drink.

It's all about informality and relaxation. You can enjoy food and drink in the breakfast nook adjoining the very well-equipped kitchen (we now also have an air fryer), or relax around the table by the pool in the shade of the patio, with overhead lighting and fan for the warm evenings. A gas-fired BBQ is available.

The bedrooms on either side of the family room are attractively furnished in Floridian colours. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed (US Queen), two walk-in closets, en suite bathroom, bath, walk-in shower, and access to the pool deck.

On the other side of the lounge, the two other bedrooms are separated by a bathroom/toilet with over-bath shower: the back bedroom has a king-size bed (US Queen) and enjoys direct access to the pool deck; the front bedroom has twin beds. Each bathroom comes with toiletries and a hairdryer.

A separate laundry room leads through from the hallway to the double garage.

Our home is in an area which has so far not been devastated by hurricanes. But we can never be complacent about future storms which may come our way. Thankfully, our property was undamaged by Hurricane Helene and our guests in the house at the time were safe. Hurricane Milton passed further to the south and we were fortunate not to sustain any damage.

Our home is in a nice residential area of Spring Hill, near the Gulf Coast, with easy access to beaches and waterways. Shopping and restaurants are minutes away. It's within an hour of Tampa International Airport via the Suncoast Parkway and about 2 hours from Orlando.

The resorts of Clearwater, Tarpon Springs and Busch Gardens are within easy driving distance. Spring Hill is perfect for golfers with numerous courses nearby. There are many wildlife areas or waterways in this part of Florida. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, with its mermaid shows, river cruises and kayaking, is 10 minutes away.

Area Information, Attractions & Distances

Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is renowned for its enchanting daily live mermaid shows in an underwater theatre. The crystal clear Weeki Wachee river has kayak facilities and you'll drift with the flow down river alongside manatees, turtles and river birds. The wildlife reserve of Homosassa Springs, where manatees congregate in the winter months, is a short drive north on US 19. The resorts of Clearwater Beach, Tarpon Springs, St. Pete's Beach and Busch Gardens are an hour to the south. Cruises to the Caribbean depart from the port of Tampa.

Property Rental Rates

All rates include pool heating, A/C, cleaning, TV, and internet. £800/US$1000 a week throughout 2024 for 1-2 people. These and the following rates will also apply in 2025 to all bookings made before 31st December 2024. £900/US$1100 a week for 3-4 people £1000/US$1200 a week for 5-6 people. Rentals can start any day. A £300/$400 discount will normally be available for a stay of 4 weeks or more. Discounts will also be available in the summer months of July to September. Bookings of up to 4 weeks are secured upon payment of £300/$400 deposit, refundable up to 12 weeks prior to the letting date. For bookings of more than four weeks, a deposit of £400/$500 is requested. Full payment (non-refundable) is due 8 weeks prior to arrival date, plus an additional security deposit of £300/$400. This will be refunded after departure, less the costs of any damage caused during the stay. Minimum Stay - one week (additional days pro-rata)
